What I Offer

Services Built
Around Your Instrument

Custom Build

Every guitar I build is designed from the ground up to match your voice, your playing style, and your vision. Select your tonewoods, your scale length, your aesthetic — I handle the rest.

Repair & Restoration

From cracked braces and loose braces to nut replacements and neck resets — I breathe new life into instruments that have seen better days, preserving their character along the way.

Setup & Adjustment

A proper setup transforms how an instrument feels and plays. Action, intonation, truss rod, pickup height — I tune every detail so your guitar responds exactly the way it should.

Electronics

Pickup installs, wiring upgrades, tone circuits, and shielding — I work with both vintage-style and modern electronics to get the sound you're after, clean and quiet.

Finishing

Nitrocellulose, poly, or oil finishes — I match the look and feel you want. Refinishing, touch-ups, and custom color work are all part of the process.

Appraisal & Advice

Not sure what your instrument needs, or what it's worth? I offer honest assessments and guidance so you can make informed decisions about your gear.

About Erik

Hands Trained
by Years of
Listening

I'm a luthier based in Lunenburg, Massachusetts — and I've spent the better part of my career understanding what makes an instrument sing. Every piece of wood has a voice; my job is to help it find it.

Whether you're bringing in a beloved vintage guitar that needs a neck reset, commissioning a custom instrument built to your exact specifications, or simply looking for a setup that makes your current guitar feel brand new — I approach every instrument with the same standard: what would I want on my own bench?

The Craft

Wood, Resin,
& Patience

Luthiery is the intersection of acoustics and artistry. A guitar is a resonating chamber — every curve, every brace pattern, every thickness of top or back influences how it projects, how it sustains, how it feels under your fingers.

I source my tonewoods carefully — Sitka spruce for its clarity and projection, Indian rosewood for its warmth and complexity, mahogany for punch and midrange. But the wood is only the beginning. It's the shaping, the bracing, the finishing — the thousands of micro-decisions — that separate a good instrument from a great one.
